- Dr. H. M. Ansari in Banjarmasin is experiencing land refinement due to bridge renovation and road widening resulting in the volume increase of vehicle seeking for parking area. The parking lot is inadequate that causes a significant amount of vehicles during peak hour. This study aims at evaluating the characteristics of parking lot at dr. H. M. Ansari Saleh hospital in Banjarmasin. The research method referred to the Parking Facility Management Technical Guidance of Directorate General of Land Transportation, 1996. The result of this study showed that the highest parking accumulation reached 267 vehicles with parking duration for 1 to 60 minutes, the highest parking volume was 267 vehicles, the vehicle switch rate was 1.327 vehicle/srp/hour, and parking index reached 142.61% which has overlapped 100%. The highest parking reached 3655 vehicles and the average of parking duration of two-wheeled vehicle reached 0.795 hour. The amount of required space to serve a better parking facility is 1498 SRP equipped with adequate parking lot.
