  • The analysis tools used to determine the performance and health level of both banks are used the CAMEL analysis, there are: Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Classified Productive Assets Ratio of Productive Assets, Ratio of Allowance on Earning Assets (PPAP), which was formed by the bank against PPAP shall be created by the bank, net profit margin (NPM), Return on Assets (ROA), ratio of operating expenses of operating income (BOPO), ratio of loans granted to the funds received by the bank (LDR). Result of performance of both banks using CAMEL ratios for three-year overall PT BRI has a better performance than BMI for three years, amounting to 76.31, 76.18, and 75.80, while the value BMI net owned for three years amounted to 69.88, 73.60, 65.73. From the calculation above, it can be concluded that, firstly, the performance of BMI during the three-year decline in 2007 and 2008 are located on the predicate "HEALTHY ENOUGH" to "LESS HEALTHY" in the year 2009. Second; PT BRI for three years has a good performance because of the health level calculations yield a stable predicate that is "ENOUGH HEALTHY". Third, the performance of CAR, KAP I, KAP II, NPM, ROA, and LDR owned by PT BRI for three years has a better good performance resulted than PT BMI. Whereas PT BMI only have a better ratio of BOPO than PT BRI. Overall performance by PT BRI healthier than BMI.
