  • Tourism is an identity for every city that has its own value to be visited by tourists. In general, which is often encountered by tourists is nature tourism and culinary tourism. In this study, we will discuss research on culinary tourism in Malang. Where there are problems tourists experience confusion in determining the culinary place that is in accordance with the wishes of tourists. Therefore in this study, collaborative filtering and location based filtering methods will be used to determine culinary tourism recommendations. The purpose of this study is the use of collaborative filtering method which is divided into two stages, namely the user based stage to determine the culinary place based on the character criteria of each user that hassimilarities and item based stages to determine culinary places based on the rating of each culinary place that has similarities. Furthermore, the location based filtering method is used to filter out culinary places that have the closest location to tourists. To equalize characters between users as well as rating values for culinary places, the adjusted cosine similarity equation will be used. For the testing itself, the black box method will be used, which tries one by one on the existing features.
