- Household violence is a problem existed in various area, especially village. Village. The research intend to analyzed household violence crime tackling efforts which was done by Cangkringan village officer, Nganjuk sub-district, Nganjuk Residence and various inhibition inside. In this research, the writer used socio-juridical approach. The research was done in Cangkringan village Nganjuk sub-district, Nganjuk Residence with data sources consisted of interview, observation and documentation. For data collection, the writer used descriptive qualitative analysis. From the research, efforts in tackling household violence were: report responded by calling involved parties. If the case got deep, chief of village and the village elders did meeting to discuss the case. For security, victim was guarded by village security officer or police who responsible in village. When the case could not be resoluted, the chief gave the case to Nganjuk sub-district police officer. While the inhibition in tackling household violence invillage were: lack of cooperation in society who consider that household violence was internal household case, the victim rare to make report, the subject often repeat his action, also there’s no special institution to overcome the problem in village level. To overcome the problem, Cangkringan village officer did socialization to society that household violence was a law breaking and the victim needs to be protected. The next solution was by giving the case to the police officer while there was a case which couldn’t be handled by society. For institution handling in village, chief of the village asked special independent institution for woman and children to help the victim and socialized the danger of household violence.
