  • Government services are an important aspect of government activities in a village office. This service is shown to serve the population in matters of managing letters or documents and everything related to government. The regional autonomy study center has conducted a study that needs to improve the quality of village government services, both internal and external services, both physically and administratively. There are still many services in the village that use conventional systems, so there are still many weaknesses and hamper the community in terms of managing the letter. Some weaknesses can be seen from several factors such as relatively long service time because it still uses the queue system and does not allow residents to get timely service as desired due to limited working hours, lack of knowledge of residents about the documents needed to manage a letter and only obtained when management process so that residents must return to the village office the next day, computer science skills are minimal so that only a few people can use computer equipment and find out the format of the letter submitted, so that when an error occurs in writing identity data or letter format. One way to overcome these conditions is to come up with an idea or idea to make a system development in the form of a website system, especially those that involve the submission of documents that are needed by the community, and report submission of letters every year. This makes it easier for village officials and residents to submit letters. So based on the description and conditions above, the results of the design are outlined in the form of a website design entitled "Designing a Website-Based Village Letter Service System (Case Study: Sumbermanjingkulon Village Office)".
