  • Formwork planning is an important aspect in implementing reinforced concrete structure. There are several methods of formwork, such as conventional formwork method, Paschal formwork method, PERI, MESA, and KHK. This study attempts to review conventional method rather than PERI method in building project of teeth and mouth dentistry hospital, Faculty of Dentistry, Brawijaya University – Malang, especially in beams’ and plate structure perceived from cost and time aspects. This planning needs project data, structure data, and unit cost. After calculating each formwork method, conventional formwork requiring Rp. 5,168,892,763.23 while PERI method requiring Rp. 5,608,479,992.77. According to cost aspect, conventional formwork is cheaper Rp. 439,587,229.55 (7.84%) than PERI system. In term of working hours, conventional formwork requires 169 days while PERI system requires 61 days. Thus, PERI system is faster 108 days than conventional formwork.
