- Plant mutation causes individual genetic structure of rice plant MSP 13 so that it is effective to change a few of the plant characteristic. Plant mutations can be done by inducing mutagens such as gamma radiation. Parts of the plants that are irradiated are usually seeds which will be grown or other plant parts that can be grown. The aim of this study is to obtain information on the mutant diversity of generation M1 MSP 13 and to obtain information on the similarity between the mutants rice of the generation M1 origin of groove MSP 13 based on cluster analysis on the characteristicve of vegetative and generative. This research was conducted in July - November 2018 which took place at the National Nuclear Energy Corporation (BATAN) and Experimental Area of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The design which was used for the performance of vegetative and generative of rice breeds (Oryza sativa) the generation M1 in gamma irradiation treatment at a dose of 400 Gy, by using the singgle plant method for each individual. As in 50 plants of MSP 13 and 100 plant control treatment. This study consisted of controls (without radiation) and 400 Gy. The observation was done include the performance of quantitative variables vegetative, the performance of qualitative variables vegetative, the performance of quantitative variables generative, and the performance of qualitative variables generative. Based on the results of cluster analysis, it can be concluded that there are a lot of performance of rice plants in the results of , the performance of quantitative variables generative meanwhile the result of other observation variables obtained fewer groups. The percentage measurement of similarity found in the results of the dendogram determines the proximity similarity of genotype that was observed.
