  • The potato is one of the many horticultural plants that have been cultivated in Indonesia. Quality of seeds or seedlings was one of the factors affecting the productivity of the potato. In a multiplicity of seeds, it can use a stem steak and seedling. The use of manure has been one of the many efforts to increasing potato production aimed at providing extra nutrients. One that can do is given NPK fertilizer. This research aims to the knowledge of the growth and productivity of potato from the different type of plant, knowing the precise dose of NPK fertilizers for the growth and plant productivity, and to learn the effects of optimum NPK fertilizers to increase the productivity of the potato plant. The design of this experiment used Split Plot Randomized Block Design with 2 types of seedling, 5 doses of NPK Mutiara fertilizers and repeated 3 times. The types of plant were used were stem steak (J2) and seed potato (J1), then the 5 doses of NPK Mutiara were P1 = 1.200 kg/ha, P2 = 1.000 kg/ha, P3 = 800 kg/ha, P4 = 600 kg/ha, and P5 = 400 kg/ha. The observation parameters were the height of the plant, the number of leaves, the number of branches, the number of potatoes per plant, the number of potatoes by class, the weight of potatoes per plant and chlorophyll levels. The results showed that there was no interaction between the type of seedlings and doses of NPK Mutiara fertilizer for the growth of the plant and plant productivity. The type of seedlings effect for the growth and the production of potato which is the seed potato have better growth and potato seed yields, except for the chlorophyll levels, then the 5 doses of NPK Mutiara fertilizer doesn’t affect for the growth and plant yields.
