  • Performance is an activity in plant breeding to get potential hybrid elders. Performance aims to determine the performance or information of a cultivar in the form of a description. The description of a cultivar can make it easier to find out information if a cultivar will be used as a source of genetic material in the process of plant breeding. The purpose of this study was to determine the vegetative and generative responses produced per individual in rice (Oryza sativa) MSP-13 which had been irradiated by gamma rays of 500 Gy. The method used in this study was an explorative descriptive survey, in each individual M1 generation mutant rice from the MSP-13 strain with a Wild Type treatment and 500 Gy radiation. Accompanied by Vegetative and Generative character measurements and kinship tests using Minitab software. Variables observed included vegetative phase (number of tillers, plant height, stem color, stem angle, number of leaves, leaf width, leaf ear color, leaf tongue color, leaf color, leaf surface and flag leaf angle), generative phase (age flowering and harvesting age) production compensation (number of panicles, panicle release, panicle type, number of seed grains, weight of peralur grains, total weight of perrumpun grain, perrumpa paddy grain weight and grain weight of 10 grains). The performance of M1 MSP-13 has different vegetative and generative characters, especially in quantitative variables. However, the qualitative variable has the same character, namely the color of the leaf ear (white), the color of the leaf tongue (white), the color of leaf strands (dark green), the leaf surface (medium), the color of the stem book (green), the type of panicle discharge (whole panicles out and part of the neck out), panicle type (between compact and medium). Based on cluster analysis of vegetative and generative characters M1 MSP-13 is divided into several groups. The vegetative phase is divided into 26 groups, generative phase 16 groups and components of the results of 6 groups.
