  • Cosmetics is an important needs for most women. Blusher and lipstick cosmetics are some of the cosmetics that are frequently used. Rhodamin B and mercury are considered as dangerous substances and their utilization is prohibited. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences of mercury and rhodamine B levels in cosmetics from various markets in Malang City and to analyze the utilization of research results as a pocket book. The study was divided into two stages. The activity of phase I was analyzing levels of mercury and rodamin B in blusher and lipsticks that were not registered at BPOM which were sold in various markets in Malang. Phase II was the study of developing research results into a pocket book. The type of research activity phase I is comparative descriptive research. Phase II research activities are development studies using the 3E Learning Cycle model. The results showed that 18 samples taken from modern markets, large scale traditional markets and small scale traditional markets were 9 samples containing mercury and 17 samples containing rhodamine B. The highest average mercury levels were found in lipstick samples obtained from large scale traditional markets. The highest average rhodamine B levels are found in blusher samples obtained from the modern market. The results of this study were then developed into a pocket learning resource.
