ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the effect of NPK fertilizer dosage and type on the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata) on insepticol soil. This research was conducted in Nganjuk in December - February 2019. The study used a factorial randomized block design with 2 treatment factors. The first factor is NPK fertilizer dosage with 5 levels, namely: 150 kg / ha, 225 kg / ha, 300 kg / ha, 375 kg / ha, 450 kg / ha. The second factor is the type of NPK fertilizer (Kebomas) and NPK fertilizer (Subur Mandiri). There is an interaction between the dose and type of NPK fertilizer on the parameters of plant height, leaf area, stem diameter and number of seeds per cob. The best treatment is at a dose of 5.25 g / tan. In the type of NPK fertilizer (Kebomas). Dosing affects the parameters, plant height, leaf area, stem base diameter, number of seeds per ear, at a dose of 5.25 g / tan. In the type of NPK fertilizer (Kebomas). The administration of NPK fertilizer (Kebomas) affects the growth of plant height, leaf area, stem diameter, number of seeds per cob, while the weight parameters of cob with clobot, and weight of cob without clobot type NPK fertilizer (Subur Mandiri) influences the yield with dose 5.25 g / tan, is the best treatment for these parameters because the K content of NPK fertilizer (Subur Mandiri) is higher than NPK fertilizer (Kebomas). Element K is one of the elements that influences the yield of sweet corn plants.
