- The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of changes in working capital on profitability in cosmetic companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The results of this study indicate that (1) Equations of working capital and profitability are negative, and (2) There is no relationship between changes in working capital and profitability. The results of the analysis can be seen that the average change in working capital at PT. Unilever Indonesia Tbk has the highest average value of 125.625% while the lowest average is at PT. Mandom Indonesia Tbk. That is equal to -0.25%. These results indicate that PT. Unilever Indonesia Tbk has the highest working capital compared to other companies. Based on the results of hypothesis testing in cosmetics companies from 2008 to 2017, it is known that changes in working capital have a significant effect on profitability.
