- In advancing the development of a region, the economic growth of the region is needed, by developing potential sources of the superior sectors of the region owned. The potential of the agricultural sector in Malang Regency is one of the superior potentials developed in the future. To analyze the potential of superior agricultural sectors, an analysis of Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), Combined DLQ and LQ, and Shift-Share were analyzed. The data used to analyze the agricultural sector in Malang Regency is GDP, growth rate and production value. DLQ and LQ values > 1, are used to find out how much value is obtained for the agricultural sector in the present and future (potential that develops in the future). Based on the results of the study, it was found that the results of the leading sub-sectors in agricultural sector commodities that have economic growth in Malang Regency are in the horticultural sub-sector of crops and livestock sub-sectors.
