  • Mollusks have an important role in knowing the decline in the ecological function of mangrove forests. Exploitation in the form of illegal logging that occurs can affect the number of species and biota populations. The purpose of this study was to determine the environmental conditions through physico-chemical parameters, determine the diversity of mollusks, determine the relationship between environmental conditions and diversity of mollusks, and describe the study of Mollusk diversity studies in the mangrove forest area of Cengkrong beach, Trenggalek Regency, which was developed as a learning resource for biology. The sampling phase is carried out in 3 stations with 27 plots. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique with the belt transect method. Next measure the environmental conditions through physico-chemical parameters. The data analysis method uses diversity index, evenness index, and important value index. While the data analysis technique uses normality test and regression analysis. The results showed that environmental conditions through physical-chemical parameters produced pH, temperature, salinity are classified as normal. Mollusk diversity found 13 species consisting of 11 species from the Gastropoda class and 2 species from the Bivalvia class. The relationship between environmental conditions and diversity of mollusks shows a significant relationship. Development of the results of the study of Mollusk diversity in the coastal mangrove forest area of Cengkrong, Trenggalek Regency as a source of learning biology in accordance with the material world of animals (Animalia) SMA / MA Class X on KD 3.8.
