- The development of Information and Communication Technology continues to grow along with increasing human needs, including in the field of education. This development can be seen from the use of school-based academic information systems. SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pagak is one of the vocational high schools that has followed technological progress, where this school already has an academic website, but in SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pagak in terms of recording data and processing student grades is still done manually with only written in books and stored by the teacher or homeroom teacher so that the data is not structured. The recording of the data is of course prone to various problems such as missing data, the data sought is difficult to find and data has not been consistent. In addition, processing values with manual input requires more time because the value data is calculated manually and carefully. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a value data processing system at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pagak in order to use technology as well. One way to overcome these problems is by applying computerized technology, namely designing an assessment information system and printing report cards or E-report cards. E-report is a system that helps operational education by using Electronic applications to support the development of the process of assessing students in schools using internet media. So based on the above problems encourage the author to create and implement a website-based E-report on the SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pagak school and make a research proposal "Designing a Website-Based Reporting System Information System (Case Study: SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pagak)" with school expectations can improve service quality and education in the teaching and learning process both within and outside the scope of the school.
