- Potato plants are one of the most widely used horticultural crops as food processing materials both as household processed foods and large industries. Phytohormones is one of the compounds that can accelerate cell division so that it can break dormancy in seeds. Long immersion can accelerate the process of imbibition of water which can activate root cells in the tuber. The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of the phytohormone types and the length of immersion that breaks the dormancy of potato seeds. This study uses a complete randomized design (RAL) and a random draft group (RAK) factorial where factor 1 is a type of phytohormone (F) consisting of F1: control, F2: GA3, and F3: BAP. Factor 2 is the length of immersion consisting of T1: immersion 1 hour, T2: Immersion 2 hours, T3: Immersion 3 hours, and T4: Immersion 4 hours. There are 12 combinations and repeated 3 times. The results of the research showed phytohormonal treatment and prolonged immersion contained interactions on the long parameter buds. Phytohormonal treatment affects the Vigor index parameters, the number of shoots, the length of the bud, the height of the plant, the diameter of the stem and the tuber weight. The prolonged treatment of immersion only affects the long parameters of the bud.
