- Every wife certainly want happiness in her married life, likewise for wives who live in polygamous marriages. Happiness can be achieved if one's psychological well-being is fulfilled. This study aims to determine how the psychological well-being of wives in polygamous families. This study was conducted to discribe the psychological well-being of wives in poligamy family. This study is a quantitative descriptive study conducted in Sampang city using purposive sampling technique. The respondents consisted of 120 people who were the firdt and the second wives. The measuring instrumen used is Ryff’s Psychological Well Being scale. The result showed that the psychological well-being of the wife in the poligamy family was in the low category with a percentage of 42,5%. The dimension of psychological well being with high category is self-acceptance, while the low dimension is a positive relationship.
