- This study aims to determine the corrosion rate produced in copper (Cu) by the immersion method (dyeing) using a solution of 5% hydrochloric acid (HCl) and 5% sodium chloride (NACl). copper is immersed in a corrosive medium with soaking time of 5 days, 10 days, 15 days and 20 days. The optimal efficient value was obtained at 15 days immersion where hydrochloric acid (HCl) 98,069 mmpy and sodium chloride (NACl) 109,385 mmpy.
