- The purpose of the problems found in the study is the mode and form of the crime of insult, factors cause criminal acts of humiliation and the efforts of police in Malang Polres tackling the crime of social media in the city of Malang. This research was conducted at Polres Malang juridical methods which use sociological data retrieval and interviews with police officers who handle cases of contempt through social media. Source data obtained from this research is with the primary data include obtained from the results of the interviews of the police on duty and with secondary data from books, documents, expert opinions, articles, journals as well as regulations legislation, law enforcement related criminal acts of contempt through social media in Polres Malang. The results of the analysis of the research that is the mode of his emotions bubbling up in the abuser is a social media and its forms the word an insult aimed at the victim. While the factors is for want of revenge or because resentful police. The efforts made the police providing punishment according to applicable LAW. Party advice Polres Malang penalty leveller must not be provided due to the must see of the crime rate, the condition of the offender and other circumstances.
