  • Background: Peel of white pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) contains secondary metabolites ellagitannin which function as antioxidants. Antioxidants are useful for dealing with premature aging of the skin. The use of peel off mask preparations is very practical because it is easy to clean by peeling after the gel dries to form a film layer. Research Objective: This study was to determine the effect of concentrations of white pomegranate peel extract 1%, 2% and 3% on the physical and chemical characteristics and stability of the preparation of peel off masks with PVA and PEG 1500 bases. Method: Prepared peel-off masks of white pomegranate skin extract formula 1 (1%), 2 (2%) and 3 (3%). Evaluation of physical and chemical characteristics and stability of the peel off mask. Results and Conclusions: From the results of the study obtained the use of 1%, 2% and 3% white pomegranate peel extract on the physical characteristics of brownish yellow organoleptic to light brown, with distinctive aroma and soft texture. There is no difference in homogeneity test, all preparations are homogeneous.Then, in the test of viscosity F(-) (4233.33±361.71 cPs), FI (4500.00±500.00 cPs), FII (4733.33±208.17 cPs), and FIII (5066.67±152.75 cPs); scatter power testF(-) (10,43cm±0,20), F1 (9,73cm±0,06), F2 (9,47cm±0,15), F3 (9,05cm±0,05), test drying time F(-) (28’30”minutes±0,29), F1 (27’17”minutes±0,10), F2 (26’40”minutes±0,29), F3 (26’20”minutes±0,58),and pH test F1 (5.38), F2 (5.03), F3 (4.83), the results showed that there was a significant difference in the preparation of peel off skin extract mask white pomegranate. The results of the stability test of freeze thaw and stability at various temperatures found that all preparations remained stable and there were no significant organoleptic changes, whereas for the pH of the preparation there is a change in the form of a decrease in pH.
