  • The title of the research is the Social Construction of Early Marriage in Rural Communities (Study in the Kerjen Village of Srengat Subdistrict, Blitar District) where this study presents a problem statement, namely, How is the social construction of early marriage in the Kerengata Srengat Village Community Blitar District. Based on the formulation of the problem, this study reveals the social construction of early marriage in the Kerjen Village community. The approach taken in this study uses qualitative with the type of phenomenology research. The selection of subjects was done by purposive sampling, namely choosing research subjects with certain criteria in accordance with the research. The data from this study were obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. Interviews were conducted on 7 women who were early marriages and strengthened by the presence of 9 informants, namely 3 husbands for early marriages, 4 parents for early marriage, modern marriage, and the village head of Kerjen. This study was analyzed using the Social Construction theory Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann. Theory that mentions subjective and objective elements that are interrelated in influencing social reality. Social reality in it has social processes. Berger and Luckmann mention that there are 3 moments of social processes. The results of the study found that seven early marriage women had their respective social constructs that occurred in each individual. This they live from the social process. Starting from the existence of a shared reality in which there are objective spaces then dinalar into the minds of individuals with their respective subjectivity, to bring out the reality that is in society. The social construction of early marriage that took place in Kerjen Village contained several knowledge constructions namely: knowledge from the social environment, economic knowledge, knowledge of parents. This knowledge constructs people's understanding in Kerjen Village.
