Daftar Isi:
- The number of public transportation fleet in Sumbawa City has decreased in the past three years. There are two routes of public transportation in the city, i.e. route A and route B. The length of the route A was 12,51 km and the length of the route B was 13,85 km. This study aimed to figure out the performance level of the public transportation in Sumbawa City by collecting the data primarily and secondarily. The results showed that based on the 28 units of operating public transportation, the average frequency for the route A and B were 7,13 vehicle/hour and 7,35 vehicle/hour. The average time headway for both routes was 9,27 minutes for route A and 9,07 minutes for route B. The average load factor for both routes was 85,21% for route A and 84,05% for route B. The average travelling time for both routes was 22,37 km/hour for route A and 22,17 km/hour for route B. Based on the results, the load factor has fulfilled the standard used i.e. above 70%. The headway was considered ideal based on the SK Dirjen 687/AJ.206/DRDJ/2002 i.e. average (5-10 minutes). Meanwhile, the travelling time was lower than the standard set by the Directorate General of Land Transportation on the maximum busy hour of 30 km/hour. Therefore, a rejuvenation public transportation is essential for improving the operational performance of public transportation.
