- This study was aimed to describe Syaikh Muhammad al-Ghazali's opinion about women's education and social roles based on the contents of the book Mulai Dari Rumah. The results of this study were hopped to be able to add information and insight, especially for islamic education. The approach used in this study is qualitative with primary data sources in the book Mulai Dari Rumah and it was supported by books and several journals as secondary data sources. The data analysis technique in this study is to use discourse analysis with steps; a. Understanding data, b. Focus of analysis, c. Information category, d. Interpretation. The results of this study explains that; 1. Education is the right of all people, both male and female. Women's education should be carried out separately from men. Education for women can take place anywhere including mosques and classes as in general. 2. The social role of women in general is as workers, educators, politicians and many others. Women's activities outside the home (worked) were allowed as long as the activity appropriate with the Shari'a and their fitrah.
