  • Misconception is students’ understanding on copcepts that is not in accordance with the experts’. The method used to differ students who do not know the concept from students with misconceptions is the certainty of response index (CRI). While the assistance given to those students' is scaffolding. Scaffolding is an assistance given to students, but if the students have been able to complete the task by themselves, then scaffolding can be returned so that the students can work independently. This study aimed to determine and describe students' misconceptions and the given scaffolding. The data analysis of this study was carried out both qualitatively and descriptively, the instruments were written test sheets, interview sheets, and scaffolding guidance sheets.
