  • The results of the initial needs analysis conducted at Elementary School of Sumbertanggul 2 showed that in the learning process, the teacher used a lecture method as well as the question and answer method. The media that was used by the teacher for teaching was only props available in the class. In the sense of thematic learning, especially themes 6, students did not really understand the material that has been delivered by the teacher. Based on the existing problems, the research entitled "Development of animal story pop-up book media for thematic learning theme 6 of IV grader in Elementary School of Sumbertanggul 2" was new and important to be implemented. The research aimed to develop learning media, which included valid, complete and interesting criteria. This research and development used development model (ADDIE). It was comprised Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and tests. The data were analyzed in terms of quantitative data and valid, qualitative and complete qualitative data. This research was conducted in Elementary School Sumbertanggul 2, Mojokerto Regency in grade IV. The results of the research showed a percentage of assessment of media validation test that was 78% with valid qualification criteria and good to be adapted. The validation of material experts got 82% percentage with valid criteria. The results of completeness were taken from students learning outcomes, which showed an average percentage of 95% with very effective criteria. The results of attractiveness were taken from the questionnaire user response which showed an average value of 93% with very interesting criteria. It was concluded that the development of pop-up book animal story media in thematic learning theme 6 grade 4 was valid, effective and interesting to be employed in the learning process. In this study, it was suggested that the media that had been developed, could be used as learning media for the theme 6 grade 4 learning 1.
