  • This research aims to describe students' mathematical communication skills both orally and in writing using the Think Pair Share combination Make a Match model. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were students of class VII-A of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Malang. While the objects in this research were students' mathematical communication skills with a Think Pair Share combination Make a Match model. There are two methods in the study, namely observation and tests. Observations in this study were used to describe student’s mathematical communication skills verbally, while tests were used to describe students' mathematical communication skills in writing. The results showed that the overall oral mathematical communication skills in this study got a value of 67.3% belonging to the sufficient category while the overall written mathematical communication skills of students in this study obtained a percentage of 76% included in the good category.
