- Background: Hypertension is one of the most common diseases in Indonesia. Patients with hypertension are susceptible to complications of the disease if not handled properly with treatment regularly. Patients with hypertension often do not adhere to treatment. This is because there are many factors that cause such non-compliance. This research method using a qualitative approach is carried out with a case study research strategy. The sampling method used is purposive sampling method. Participants were taken as many as three participants. Data collection is done by semi-structured interviews and observations. Analysis of the case study research data used is the domain of analysis. This data was taken from interviews with hypertensive patients and the closest person to the patient to validate the data. The results of this case study found three themes, namely lack of family support in treatment, low self-awareness to carry out treatment, lack of utilizing health care information services. Discussion of the results of this study can be concluded that noncompliance with treatment regimens comes from oneself and others, including low self-awareness for treatment, family support in treatment, and lack of use of health care information services.
