  • In fact, the cultivation of mutual cooperation characters in SDN Kauman 1 Malang which was planted through extracurricular activities of the raiser scouts is still quite low, so there is a need for research that attempts to analyze the implementation of mutual cooperation in the application and teaching of scouting students. This study aims to find out and discuss about (1) the implementation of the mutual cooperation character building for students in the gathering group at SDN Kauman 1 Malang. (2) the inhibiting and supporting factors in the implementation of the mutual cooperation character building for the students of the group gathering at the kauman 1 Malang Elementary School. (3) efforts used to overcome the inhibiting factors / constraints faced in implementing planting mutual cooperation characters through scout extracurricular activities at Kauman 1 Malang Elementary School. This study used qualitative research and descriptive research types, as data sources, the informants selected were the scouts in charge, scout coaches and students of the scouting scout SD Kauman 1 Malang, totaling 92 students. This research was conducted on March 14 - April 11 2019. The results of the study showed (1) the implementation of mutual cooperation characters through extracurricular activities of scout groups in the group of SDN Kauman 1 Malang had appeared in the attitude of cooperation, mutual help, solidarity and family. (2) inhibiting factors / constraints experienced by the lack of time given by the school for the management of the character of mutual cooperation through scout extracurricular activities, various kinds of student characters that are difficult to control and unpredictable weather. Supporting factors in the form of adequate facilities and infrastructure, the welfare of the coach are quite good, competent scout coach (3) attempts to overcome inhibiting factors by constructing the material and managing the time as possible, following up students who are difficult to regulate and place conditioning in the event of rain. The results of this study, the character of mutual cooperation can be applied well to the scout extracurricular activities of SDN Kauman 1 Malang because it is supported by several supporting factors and various efforts made to overcome the inhibiting factors.
