  • Assertiveness is should be owned by an individual, especially the student, organization member, and community member. Assertive behavior is defined as an individual behavior to develop speaking and expressing opinion skills without violating others’ rights and hurting people. To increase the assertiveness, the researcher suggested implementing Role Play Method using Outbound Technique. The purpose of the study is to prove the effectiveness of Role Play Method using outbound technique to enhance students’ assertive behavior. This study applies experimental design which is consisted of pre- and post-test; and control group design. The subjects involved are 40 eleventh grade students of MA Muhammadiyah Malang. The data were analyzed by means of College Self-Expression Scale (CSES) to measure assertive level. Meanwhile, the data were analyzed by using Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney to examine whether there is an increase after conducting intervention in form of role play using outbound technique (Z=-3.238, p=0.001).
