- The process of learning to read Javanese script is conveyed by the teacher by using lap. The media used by the teacher in the form of textbooks, therefore it is necessary to develop Javanese script writing with media that is of interest to students. Based on the problems that refer to the background, namely (1) making 2-dimensional board media Java Script, (2) the application of 2-dimensional board media Java Script. Knowing student responses, describing the media in making media and the feasibility of the school. The type of research used is R & D using the Borg and Gall model. The research results obtained, it is proven that the development of 2-dimensional board Javanese script can be interpreted to be very valid by several validators with the percentage obtained from the material validation expert getting 69%. Media validation gets 93%. Learning validation gets 93%. The results of student responses get 87%. The results of the study concluded that the development of 2-dimensional board media to improve reading of Javanese script can be used as a learning medium that can support the process of teacher and student learning interactions in class IV SD Purutrejo 1 Pasuruan. The results of this study, it is suggested that it be used as a learning medium and other learning resources in addition to textbooks for student.
