- Basketball is a famous and popular sport in the world. In basketball, you need good abilities and fitness conditions. Physical condition is a very important initial factor in sports and may provide changes to all bodily function systems. Physical condition is the most dominant basic preparation for maximum physical appearance. One of the prime physical conditions seen from running speed is very important in sports because with running speed the good will affect the playing ability or skill of the player, therefore given the training techniques that can be used to improve running speed are Nordic Hamstring Exercise and Static Stretching Exercise. Objective: To compare the effect of twotraining methods speed, namely Nordic Hamstring Exercise and Static Stretching Exercise on basketball athletes Charis National Academy Method: This study used a quasi-experimental design that involved 30 respondents using purposive sampling. The sample was divided into 2 intervention groups namely thegroups Nordic Hamster Exercise (n = 15) and Static Stretching Exercise (n = 15). The data obtained were analyzed using the independent t-test. Results: The results of the independent t test data between the Nordic hamstring exercise and Static Stretching exercise, were obtained 0.430> 0.05 and t count <t table (0.194 <0.801) so that it could be concluded that H0 was accepted. Conclution: There is no difference in Nordic hamstring exercises and static stretching exercises to increasing speed running in Charis National Academy basketball athletes.
