- Comparison Addition of Kinesio Tapping with Myofascial Release and Ischemic Compression Effects on Myofascial Pain Syndrome Upper Trapezius Ria Suwendra1, Kurnia Putri Utami2, Atika Yulianti3 Background: Administrative Worker is one of the workers who potentially affected musculoskeletal disorders in such as neck pain due to long holding the sitting position in front of the computer. These activities cause workers to hold their shoulders for long and repetitive elevation movements. Several interventions that deal with issues such as addition of kinesio tapping with myofascial release and ischemic compression can show immediately effect. Method: This research used 2 group pre-test and post-test design without using control group. 40 (24 female and 16 male) administrative employees at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang diagnosed myofascial pain syndrome with purposive sampling. The instrument used numerical rating scale (NRS). Respondents were divide into 2 group which received different intervention. Group A received Kinesio Tapping and Myofascial Release and group B received Kinesio Tapping and Ischemic Compression for 1 time intervention. The result obtained instantly after the intervention had been given. Result: the result Kinesio Tapping with Myofascial Release and Ischemic Compression Effects on Myofascial Pain Syndrome Upper Trapezius showed significant result of pvalue 0.23 means no difference effect of Kinesio Tapping with Myofascial Release and Ischemic Compression Effects on Myofascial Pain Syndrome Upper Trapezius. Conclusion: There is no difference effect Addition of Kinesio Tapping with Myofascial Release and Ischemic Compression Effects on Myofascial Pain Syndrome Upper Trapezius.
