  • Tawadlu is a unique traditional in boarding schools. This civilization is a typical culture of the pesantren. In education boarding schools are the focus on morals before science. Discussing and fostering interaction between students and teachers in pesantren is very convincing. In a pesantren community, obedience to teachers is an honor in it self. The students assume the blessing of teachers is an absolute factor to get the glory of the after life. Thus it is unlawful for students to oppose teachers. This research focuses on the method of forming the tawadlu 'of the students to wards the chaplain, as well as the background of the tawadlu tradition' that is still sustainable with in the scope of the Miftahul Huda Islamic boarding school in Malang and the impact of its preservation on the students. This study aims to determine the entire focus of the above research. This type of research is qualitative with a case study approach. This case study approach is used to focus on one unique problem in PP. Miftahul Huda, namely the behavior of the Students tawadlu. From the results of successful research the author summarizes that the background of the preservation of the tawadlu culture 'at the Miftahul Huda Islamic Boarding School is the view of the chaplains who affirm the tawadlu behavior' is an excellent tradition, so it must continue to be preserved. In addition there is a high awareness of the kiyai the importance of glorifying teachers and their families. Secondly, the use of the method of forming tawadlu attitude 'is by modeling, then the study of the yellow books that discuss the etiquette of interactions between students and teachers as well as studies that smell the doctrine of eschatology.
