- Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) is a condition in where there is a disruption in blood flow to the coronary arteries caused by the formation of atherosclerotic plaques (derived from cholesterol, fat, and metabolic waste). This condition can cause pain and myocardial ischemia. AMI manangement includes oxygen, vasodilator nitrate, antiplatelet, anticoagulant, antihypertensive, antidislipidemia. Antiplatelet theraphy such as Clopidogrel will make blood flow smoothly. Aim: To know the pattern of clopidogrel drug use on patients withacute myocardial infarction at the Regional General Hospital Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang, including the dose, route, frequency, related to laboratory data and patient clinic data. Methods: Observational and retrospective descriptive research based on medical records of acute myocardial infarction patients from January 2016 – August 2018. Results and Conclusions: There are several clopidogrel therapy patterns, that are single as many as 2 patients (8%), combination of two as many as 22 patients (92%). Single pattern of clopidogrel (1x75 mg) PO as many as 2 patients (8%). The two most combination patterns are clopidogrel (1x75 mg) + ASA (1x80 mg) PO as many as 21 patients (88%). Clopidogrel (1x300 mg) switch + ASA PO (1x320 mg) to clopidogrel (1x75 mg) + ASA (1x80 mg) PO as many as 1 patient.
