- Children’s’ problem in Indonesia are very complex. One of the problems is about the punkers. In order to solve the problem, the contribution of social institution such as Lembaga Pendampingan dan Perlindungan Anak (LP2A) is needed. This current study aims to investigate social support of Lembaga Pendampingan dan Perlindungan Anak (LP2A) in reactivating the punkers’ social function (Study in Lembaga Pendampingan dan Perlindungan Anak (LP2A) Jombang). This study was a descriptive qualitative. In addition, observation sheet, interview guide, and documentation were the instruments used in collecting the data. The data were analyzed by conducting data reduction, data presentation, and writing conclusion. However, the data were validated by using internal validity test (credibility); triangulation. The result of this current study showed that LP2A contributed social supports such as: emotional, reward, instrumental, and information. Moreover, LP2A also conducted a program that was related to the punkers’ social function process. Both social support and program were influenced in reactivating punkers’ social function. Social support of LP2A gave positive impact to the punkers especially on their behavior, self-understanding, and social. Every punker experienced different impact depends on their problem and the way of receiving the support.
