PENGARUH BRAIN GYM TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KONSENTRASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV DI SDN MOJOLANGU 02

- Background: The problem of concentration while learning is the failure of achievement in accordance with the capabilities of the ability, reading, writing and counting. The overcome these problems it takes a pleasant method to re-increase the concentration of learning in students using the Brain Gym method. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of brain gym on the increase of learning concentration of grade IV students at SDN Mojolangu 02. Methods: Using Quasi Experiment Design with The One Group Pretest-Posttest. The population in this study amounted to 37 students at SDN Mojolangu 02, which was taken with the Nonprobality Sampling technique of Total Sampling. The instrument used in this study was the Army Alpha Test consisting of 12 question items. Data analysis using Wilcoxon non parametric test. Results: the results of this study showed a Z value of –5.332 with a significance value of 0.000 meaning the significance value of <0,05 could be said that H0 was rejected and H1 Accepted. It was concluded that there was a difference in the learning concentration level of grade IV students before and after the brain gym. Conclusion: Based on the results of this research, there is an effect of Brain Gym on increasing the learning concentration of grade IV students at SDN Mojolangu 02. Because of the brain gym movement can increase endorphin hormones that make it happy, as well as the brain gym can also re-active the lateralis dimension, focusing, and concentration.
