- This study aims to find out how to deal with problem loans at PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Batu Branch. The type of research used in this study is descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The results of this study show data on the development of problem loans in 2018, the percentage of Non Performing Loans in 2018. The cause of non-performing loans according to customers' collectibility 3 is due to crop failure, collectibility 4 due to price competition, collectability 5 due to the construction of the villa. Efforts to deal with non-performing loans at the Bank Jatim Cabang Batu are divided into two, namely rescue efforts in the form of coordination with analysts, softcall, delinquent notification letters, direct visits, rescue by 3R Rescheduling, Reconditioning, and Restructuring methods, insurance claims, and write off . Settlement efforts, namely with the KPKL and the District Court. From the results of the study, the NPL percentage in January-December 2018 at Bank Jatim Cabang Batu was 1.69%, because in February the number of non-performing loans increased, causing the NPL to increase the credit handling efforts that the bank jatim did, namely by rescuing credit by providing restructuring.
