- Background: Difficulty eating is a behavior problem that is relatively common in some toddlers and children. Difficulty eating is often experienced by toddlers (infants under five years), especially at the age of six months who are starting the period of MP-ASI. Factors that make it difficult for children to eat themselves are eating, psychological and organic factors. Affection is one of the seven subsystems of the theory of behavioral system models which are the most basic in forming a social bond between mother and child and between social environments. The bond in question is an emotional bond between baby / child and mother which becomes an eternal bond that will later contribute to the quality of the mother's relationship with the child. This affection affects the mother's behavior towards her child in making decisions to manage children having difficulty eating. Method: This study was conducted at Singosari, Ardimulyo, and Karangploso Public Health Centers Malang Regency. The sampling technique used was sampling quota and the number of samples used was 245 mothers with children under five who had difficulty eating. this study uses descriptive analytical research method with cross sectional approach. Data collection uses questionnaires with data analysis using Spearman rank. Results: In this study the results of the p value 0,000 which is less than 0.005 means that there is a relationship between love and the behavior of mothers in managing children having difficulty eating. The strength of the relationship in this study belongs to the weak category with a value of 0.232. Conclusion: There is a relationship between love and mother's behavior in managing children having difficulty eating.
