STUDI PENGGUNAAN FLUOXETINE PADA PASIEN GANGGUAN BIPOLAR (Penelitian dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang)

- Background : Bipolar is a mood disorder that consists of episodes of mania and depression that are separated by a normal mood period. A person who has an attack mania but does not experience depressive episodes is also classified as having bipolar disorder. Fluoxetine is an antidepressant of the Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) group that is often prescribed to patients with bipolar disorder episodes of depression. Objectives : A Study to determine the Fluoxetine pattern consist of dosages, types, interval of administration, duration of administration, frequency, and rute of administration on bipolar disorder. Methods : Observational research with retrospective methods in patients bipolar disorder at Psychiatric Hospital of Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang. Results and Conclusions : The use pattern of a monotherapy Fluoxetine in outpatient is 1 patient (4%), while in inpatient are not given. The use pattern of Fluoxetine combination of 2 drugs in outpatient are 5 patients (21%), a combination of 3 drugs are 11 patients (46%), and a combination of 4 drugs are 7 patients (29%). The most use pattern of Fluoxetine combination in outpatient is a combination of 3 drugs, the most combination class is antidepressants + antipsychotics + mood stabilizers, that is 5 patients (45 %). The use pattern of Fluoxetine in inpatient combinations of 4 drugs and 6 drugs each 1 patient (50%). The switching pattern in outpatient was 8 patterns and 2 patterns in inpatient.
