Daftar Isi:
- The internet that supports various types of services including audio or video communication sessions is a very important requirement for people in the world today. In line with technological progress, the development of IP (Internet Protocol) -based technology is developing very rapidly. VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) is one of the leading IP-based telecommunications services that is growing rapidly. Costs incurred for VoIP use are much cheaper when compared to using the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) network. The number of packets that pass through the IP network can cause congestion in the network which makes the quality of VoIP to be decreased, causing packet loss and delay that can become even greater. Queuing method is one of the most important mechanisms in the network traffic management system. Testing is done to get the value of the QoS parameters, namely throughput, packet loss, jitter and delay. The parameters are taken with three conditions, namely when the network uses the First In First Out (FIFO) queue method, then when the network uses the Class-Based Weight Fair Queue (CBWFQ) queue method, as well as the conditions using the Low Latency Queue (LLQ), which in each condition the load is 0 Mb, 1 Mb, 3 Mb, 5 Mb, 7 Mb, 9 Mb, 11 Mb, 13 Mb and 15 Mb. The result is Low Latency Queue (LLQ) can improve Quality of Service (QoS) on VoIP. Low Latency Queue (LLQ) get the best result of all QoS parameter and First In First Out (FIFO) get the worst result.
