PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN TENTANG PERILAKU SEKSUAL BERISIKO PADA REMAJA DI SMP SWASTA KOTA MALANG

- Background: The low level of knowledge about risky sexual behavior could result in high risk sexual behavior in adolescents, so that efforts were needed to increase knowledge about risky sexual behavior. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) method on knowledge about risky sexual behavior of adolescents in Swasta Junior High School, Malang City. Method: The design of this study used a pre-experimental design with a pretest-post test one group design approach. The research sample was all students of class VIII in Swasta Junior High School Malang City, as many as 32 people. The variable measured is knowledge about risky sexual behavior. The study was conducted on March 4-6 2019. The research instrument used questionnaire. Data analysis used Wilcoxon Signed Rank test with significance degree of 0.05. Result: The results of this study suggested that most respondents have sufficient knowledge about risky sexual behavior before learning Problem Based Learning (PBL) as many as 23 respondents (71.9%), and most respondents have good knowledge about risky sexual behavior after learning Problem Based Learning (PBL) as many as 19 respondents (59.4%). The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank statistical test obtained the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning methods on knowledge about risky sexual behavior in adolescents in Swasta Junior High School in Malang City with ρ value = 0,000 and α = 0.05. Conclusion: There was an increase of knowledge about risky sexual behavior in adolescents at Swasta Junior High School in Malang City after being given problem based learning (PBL) learning on knowledge. Based on the results obtained, the learning method of problem based learning (PBL) can be an effective method for health education.
