Daftar Isi:
- Background : Preeclampsia is a specific hypertensive disease after 20 weeks gestation characterized by increased systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg, diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg with proteinuria ≥ 300 mg/mmol in 24 hours. High blood pressure in preeclampsia patients can trigger unwanted complications such as eclampsia, kidney failure, HELLP syndrome and pulmonary edema. Antihypertensive therapy will be an important meaning in controlling blood pressure so that it can prevent the occurrence of these complications. Nifedipine is a calcium-channel blocking agent of the dihydropyridine that is used as second line treatment for preeclampsia and premature labor. According to some studies suggest that Nifedipine is the safe antihypertensive drug for the treatment of preeclampsia. Objective : This study to determine the use of Nifedipine in patient with preeclampsia at Regional Public Hospital of Sidoarjo from January-December 2018. Method : This study is a retrospective observational study which form the consecutive sampling method in patients with preeclampsia period January-December 2018. Results and Conclusion : The use of single Nifedipine 4 patients (12%), a combination of two in 29 patients (88%). The single largest use of Nifedipine was Nifedipine(3x10mg) p.o in 2 patients (50%). The most common use of two combinations are Nifedipine (3x10mg) p.o and Methyldopa (3x500mg) p.o in 26 patients (91%). There are 8 switch pattern, the highest switch pattern is combination 2 being single namely Nifedipine (3x10mg) p.o and Methyldopa (3x500mg) p.o being Methyldopa (3x500mg) p.o in 23 patients (76%).
