  • BUMDes established with the aim to enhance the business potential of a society based on rural economies and BUMDes ultimately be the path to economic independence in the village by way of moving the business units collectively and strategically to lead advances in the village economy. BUMDes in its development must involve the private role, because with the help of private it will add new innovations to improve the economy in rural. BUMDes management should always work together in the journey, in the governance of this synergy is expected in realizing BUMDes can still exist to improve the rural economy. The type of study used was descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data collection by using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Based on this study explain that the role of village head in the governance of village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) especially in Oro-oro Ombo village in which the village head as commissioner held ex-officio (run two position in one system). In the proses of governance the village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) in Oro-oro Ombo village, village head has a very good role in the planning, organizing, implementation and controlling. However, in terms of implementation the village head was not actively involved. The issues in corporate governance BUMDes, namely the lack of full cooperation in the development of BUMDes Panderman. This is due to the chairman BUMDes far only focus on his job just so difficult to meet and coordinate with other BUMDes board; lack of social networks.
