- Food and beverage industry development in go public companies has beenincreasingly advanced. It can be seen from the magnitude of food and beverageproduct produced by the company. This is an event study under the title “Cash Dividend Effect on Stock Price of Go-Public Food and Beverage Company inIndonesian Stock Exchange”. The purpose of this research is to know how big theeffect of cash dividend allotment announcement to Food and Beverage Industry Company’s stock price.The analysis used in this research is analysis of simple linear regression, determination coefficient (r2), and hypothesis test. The used analysis instrument to know the magnitude of independent variable effect to dependent variable is cashdividend effect on stock price and to know the percentage of cash dividend effect onstock prices. The research findings and discussion shows that there is an indication that cash dividend has effect on stock prices. It can be seen from the calculation result where tcount is larger than ttable, and determination coefficient value shows that cash dividend have an effect on stock price. From the conclusion above, writer can see that cash dividend allotmentannouncement has effect on stock prices.
