- The model of women's empowerment through home industry is one industry that can benefit for women. Through these home industries, especially women can improve the economy to fulfill their daily lives. As Empowerment of women through the tempe home industry in Rambipuji District can be said as a medium business that is able to absorb female workers directly related to the process of making tempe. Then, it makes Rambipuji well announced as tempe industry center which is increasingly experiencing an increase in production. This study aims to determine the process of women's empowerment and what results can be obtained after they participated in empowerment. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, through direct observation, observation and interviews with informants. The theory that used in the analysis of this research is Max Weber's theory of social action consisting of four types. The majority who join the tempe industry are women who previously worked as farm laborers and housewives. The results obtained in this study are: the process of women's empowerment includes, 1. Training, 2. Women's participation and, 3. The obstacle of women in the tempe industry. It also shows that there is an economic improvement from each of the women after joining the tempe industry. Empowerment carried out by tempe entrepreneurs can be said to be successful, moreover one of their employees can open a tempe business independently.
