PENGARUH LATIHAN SQUAT JUMP TERHADAP PENINGKATAN VERTICAL JUMP PADA PEMAIN BASKET SMA NEGERI 2 BONDOWOSO

- Background: Basketball is a sport requiring complex physical components, including agility, balance, strength, speed, endurance, flexibility and coordination. The skills component are no less important in basketball, one of them is the power component to jump up. Squat jump training is a method of exercise with bent knee movements in a squat position to increase vertical jump. Objective: This study was conducted to find out the effect of squat jump training on vertical jumpincrease in basketball players in SMA Negeri 2 Bondowoso. Research Method: This research uses pre-experimental with one group pretest and postest design measured by vertical jump height. Sample of this research is 21 basketball players of SMA Negeri 2 Bondowoso (Senior High School) who met the inclusion criteria. Result: Statistic analysis usimg Paired T-test shows 0,000(p<0,05) which appropriates with hypotheses. Conclusion: Squat jump has an effect on vertical jump of SMA Negeri 2 Bondowoso Basketball players
