- Transportation is necessary to accommodate the mobility of goods, human, and others by using modern vehicle and traditional ones through land, sea, and air. Road is one of the significant aspect in human life. It is important for economic activity. Development for road and highways as well as rigid pavement planning will connect one area with another in shorter time. People will be able to mobile faster to exchange goods and service. The Mayong - Gunungsari road sectionis 5-kilometer-long and the researcher aimed at measuring it using two types of method as comparison. This research aims at finding out the plate thickness for the rigid pavement planning as well as the required budget. This planning requires data which include land, traffic, site preparation, and local unit price. Based on calculation result, the plate thickness according to Bina Marga was 180 mm with total cost of Rp. 331,210,262. While according to AASHTO, the plate thickness was 180 mm but with total cost of Rp. 22,284,242,755.
