- Data communication between nodes on wireless sensor network that use wireless transceiver modules, potentially causing data transmission failure or commonly called by packet loss caused of various factors such as noise in the field, or data collisions during the transmission process. To overcome this packet loss, a mechanism is needed using a certain algorithm. In this study, the selective repeat ARQ algorithm is implemented on a wireless sensor network that using the nrf24l01 as it’s transceiver module. The purpose is, to handle packet loss that always occurs in it’s data communication. The selective repeat ARQ algorithm is designed by C programming language, and will integrated into sensor nodes and sink nodes on the WSN network system with expectation that data communication between two nodes can run reliably. Tests carried out by ascertain the functionality component of the selective repeat ARQ system can run according to the initial design, and analyze the test results with several Quality of Service (QoS) parameters. The results of the test analysis in this study indicate that data communication between nodes on wireless sensor networks using the nrf24l01 transceiver module that have implemented the selective repeat ARQ algorithm can run reliably. The results of the QoS analysis on the packet loss parameter, data communication between node on WSN network with selective repeat ARQ algorithm, obtained presentation of packet loss by 0%.
