- The ability of interaction for someone is something that must be owned, these abilities are obtained from education in the family, especially the relationship with the mother. One of the factors underlying the ability of social interaction is attachment. Adequate attachment in the early stages of development will make someone feel safe and think positively about their social environment. Safe attachment between child and mother will bring confidence and positive thinking of the child towards his mother. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between adherence to mothers and the ability of social interaction in adolescent boys. This research was conducted with a subject amounting to 100 people with the technique of taking subjects by accidental sampling with criteria for subjects aged 15-21 years, and male sex. This research was conducted quantitatively using the MIRS scale (modified interpersonal relationship scale) and R-IPA scale (revised inventory of parent attachments). Test analysis using Pearson product moment correlation test showed an association between kelektan with mother and ability of social interaction in adolescent boys (r: 0.303, sig: 0.02).
