- Halal Industry currently is the latest trend in a country to accelerate the country’s economic growth and Malaysia is one of the countries that is committed to developing the halal industry. In the other side halal industry is also one of the programs of the the Halal Products and Services sector in the IMT-GT (Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle) subregional economic cooperation. To illustrate how the IMT-GT cooperation program is implemented in the field of halal industry in Malaysia, then this study uses the concept of growth triangle and the concept of halal industry. Trough the uses of these two concepts, researchers were able to explain how the implementation of the IMT-GT Cooperation program in the halal industry to the development of halal industry in Malaysia. Based of the result of this study, IMT-GT (Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle) Cooperation focuses on 3 programs named Halal Integrity, Development of Halal Industry, and Branding and Promotions. First is halal integrity program, implemented in the form of halal certification called Integrated Halal Superhighway, second is development of halal industry program was implemented in the form of building 3 halal parks named Pasir Mas Halal Park, Perlis Halal Park, and Tok Bali Integrated Fisheries Park. In third is branding and promotions program, various halal product exhibitions were held to market halal products from IMT-GT (Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle) member countries to introduces halal concepts and halal product to international community.
